Bubble Guppies, America’s number one preschool kids animation, continues dialogue recordings for its second season on Nick, Jr. Dubway’s partner, Rhumba Recorders, is responsible for the music and audio services for the show, including the composition and production of the great songs and scoring (courtesy Murmur Music). Dubway’s Stephen Schappler engineered the sessions.
Speaking of Nickelodeon, Dubway provided ADR for the LA-based Winx Club production, via ISDN, as well as several dialog records. Talent included Elizabeth Gillies and Jennifer Cody, of the Disney Animation, "Princess and the Frog." The reinvigorated tween animation premiered in June, and is set for full series release soon.
Additionally, Winx Club tapped Evan Lurie (The Backyardigans, Oswald the Octopus) to compose a new song for their Christmas special. Evan brought the song to Dubway, producing it with the help of Dubway’s Keith Rigling.
Interactive Games Group’s Fred Chesnais brought in actress Celines Toribio for voice over recording on their new production.
Penguin Books was in house, continuing their development of audio books, with the technical assistance of Dubway engineer Keith Rigling.
The American Council on the teaching of Foreign Languages continued their in depth recording of diverse international voice over for their education and assessment programs, with Stephen Schappler engineering.
Dubway continued its recording and mixing of iTunes’Live at Soho series, utilizing the crack remote recording team of Jason Marcucci and Mike Judeh. Sessions included Incubus, Olivia, Panic! at the Disco, Jadakiss, Diego Garcia, The Gaslight Anthem, Young the Giant, Goo Goo Dolls, Iron & Wine, and Grace Potter.
Q Department, a perennially cutting edge production group, was tracking a live surf band for a Mercedes-Benz commercial, with technical oversight of Mike Judeh.
Crest Animation was recording characters via ISDN for a new film release of The Swan Princess.
Dubway’s Chris Abell recorded production audio on location for Ish Entertainment’s production, The June Ambrose Project, as well 6 demanding weeks on a brand new series, to be released shortly.
Michael Simon Hall recorded and edited audio for his Pieces of Paper project, a multimedia meditation on the power of human compassion in action the week of September 11, 2001. Music was composed by internationally acclaimed composer Anton Batagov and was performed by world renowned cellist Matt Haimovitz.. Dubway’s Stephen Schappler and Josh Tucker engineered the project.
Mike Judeh engineered an intimate field recording of Norah Jones for Anthony Bourdain’s TV show No Reservations.
Candlewick Press recorded author Sam McBratney reading his children's illustrated book Guess How Much I Love You, which has sold 28 million (!!) copies worldwide. Keith Rigling engineered.
Filmmaker Paul Grissom mixed a short film titled School's Out.
